My pet in my Wedding

Many of us have probably seen cute pictures of dogs in tuxedos or in fancy dresses walking down the aisle on someone’s wedding. For many dog lovers, your dogs are your best friends, companions and confidants. They’re a part of the family, so why not get them involved in the most important day of your life?

Here a few tips to consider:

1.Choose an appropriate role for the dog depending on behavior and temperament. An energetic dog might need to be on a leash held by an usher or ring bearer, while a relaxed, older dog can be free to lounge during the ceremony.

2.Wash your pup right before the ceremony to keep people with allergies from having a reaction to dander.

3.Dress the dog up with a fancy collar, ribbon or dog "tux."

4.Have someone walk the dog just before the ceremony to allow him to relieve himself.

5.Have the dog bring up the rings on a satin pillow tied to his collar or - if he is really well trained - in his mouth.

6.Appoint an eager nephew or niece to be the dog-watcher throughout the event, making sure Rover doesn't eat anyone's food or leave any surprises on the lawn.

Tips & Warnings:
·Remember that your adorable pet has the potential to frighten some of your guests - especially children. Be considerate of people who are fearful of dogs.

·Avoid trying to give dog food or water to keep him happy during the ceremony.

·Unless you are absolutely certain that your dog can be counted on to behave during the wedding, it's better to get married without Dinky....

Your Flower Girl & Ring Bearer

Here are a few tips on how to prepare you little ones to walk down the aisle:

*
Talk to them about what their duties are
*
Get them excited about being in your wedding
*
Show them what they will be wearing on your special day
*
Have them attend rehearsal so they are comfortable in what they need to do
*
Tell them that you are so excited for them to be part of your wedding
*
Let them know that it is okay to make mistakes
*
Introduce them to the rest of your bridal party
*
Tell them a treat is waiting for them after the ceremony (have a lollipop or cupcake waiting for them once the ceremony is completed)
*
If you have a wedding planner, introduce them to her/him so they know who to go to if there is any problem

Summer Drinks!

Is Friday!

I can’t believe the week flew by so quit…

Well, since that is Friday I want to share some of my favorites drinks I made early this week during the 4th of July celebration. Your family and friends will enjoy these refreshing drinks.

1. Watermelon cooler
Ingredients

·4 cups 2-inch cubes watermelon

·1 cup vodka, chilled

·2 tablespoons honey (see note)

·Garnish: small watermelon wedges with rind (optional)

Directions

Freeze the watermelon chunks in a zip-top plastic bag until just frozen, about 1 hour. Remove from the freezer and add to a blender. Pour in the vodka and honey. Process until blended and pour into frosted cocktail or jelly glasses. Garnish, if desired.

2. Kiwi kiss

Ingredients

·1 kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced

·3/4 ounce lemongrass syrup

·1/2 ounce soju

·6 ounces dry sparkling sake, such as Zipang

·1 thick slice of kiwi, cut into a square, for garnish

·6-inch section of fresh lemongrass, cleaned and peeled, for garnish

Directions

Add the peeled kiwi slices to a rocks glass along with the lemongrass syrup and soju. Using a muddler, mash the kiwi. Fill the glass three-quarters full with ice. Top with the sparkling sake. Use a metal cocktail pick to make a hole through the square slice of kiwi. Thread the kiwi slice onto the lemongrass “spear” as a garnish.

3. Blush punch

Ingredients

·One 12-ounce container frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed

·4 cups cranberry juice cocktail

·4 cups club soda, chilled

·Garnish: lemon curls (optional)

Directions
Combine the pink lemonade concentrate and cranberry juice cocktail in a large pitcher or container. Stir in the club soda just before serving. Pour into champagne flutes. Garnish, if desired.

Muddle the mint and blackberries in a cocktail shaker. Add the whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ½ cup ginger ale. Add ice and mix with bar spoon (don’t shake—remember there’s ginger ale in there). Pour into wide-mouth or tall cocktail glasses filled with ice. Top off with extra ginger ale to taste. Garnish, if desired.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Bridal Register!

Your busy planning your wedding but do you know what to do when it comes to register for your gifts???

Here are a few things to consider when registering for your wedding gifts

Where should you register?
Registering at multiple stores is a good idea. That will give your guests a nice array of price points and gift ideas. Consider registering at stores like Target, Macy’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and any local stores that you frequent…and your guests may, as well.

What types of gifts should you ask for?
This is another area where you shouldn’t restrict yourself. Sit down with your significant other and make a list of all of the items that you think you’ll need to purchase within the next year. Consider kitchenware, linens, home appliances, luggage and furniture. Also, consider lifestyle gifts. If there are movies, CDs, sporting equipment, etc. that you’d like to have, include them

How do you tell your guests where you’ve registered?
You can include an announcement of your gift registry choices in your wedding invitation, send an email, or you can pass along the information through family members and close friends.

Gifts to consider adding to your registry:
China
Flatware
Drinkware
Cookware
Bakeware
Small Appliances
Bedding
Linens
Tools
Home Improvement Gift Cards
Lifestyle Gifts (camera equipment, computer equipment, sports equipment and entertainment equipment)

The Best Man

It's Friday July 2, and getting ready for the weekend. Celebrations for July 4th are almost here and I can't wait to have some great food, drinks and share a fabulous great time with my friends and family.

This morning I want to share this article with all the grooms about who should be and what he should do for you during and before the wedding your Best Man!

Your Best Man will have a variety of very important responsibilities. You’ll want to choose the person for the job according to who is most likely to be able to complete the required tasks successfully. After all, you want to pick someone who will help the wedding run smoothly, not the person who is the most fun to be with. A Best Man’s responsibilities might include:

·Making sure you arrive at the church on time.

·Keeping track of the wedding rings–and the ring bearer, if you have one.

·Acting as a formal witness to the signing of your marriage license.

·Giving a speech at the wedding reception. (Keep in mind here, that you’ll want someone who’s not afraid to speak in public.)

·Helping to choose the men’s formal wear for the wedding.

·Organizing the Bachelor Party (Keep in mind that you’ll want someone who can plan a fun party, but one that won’t get too out of hand.)

·Assisting with your honeymoon plans.

·Helping to keep you organized.

First of all, your Best Man needs to be responsible to complete all of the above tasks and more, but he also needs to be trustworthy. After all, you’re only planning on having one wedding day, right? And you want it to go off without a hitch.

When considering who to choose as your Best Man, you may have both a brother and a best friend that you can trust with all of the responsibilities. In this case, experts say that you should always choose your brother, provided you have a good relationship with that individual. After all, blood is thicker than water and friends come and go.

In some cases, a groom-to-be may not have a brother, but has a close relationship with a sister. In this case, it’s perfectly fine to have your sister stand up in the wedding for you. Just keep in mind attire and bachelor party duties. You may want to have a best friend plan your party and you’ll want to check with your sister to see if she’s rather wear a tux or a dress that compliments the groomsmen’s tuxedos.

If you don’t have any siblings, the job of Best Man generally would fall to a friend. A long-time best friend would be a good choice. This person knows you well and can be invaluable in helping with plans for the bachelor party and wedding day particulars.

Another option might be to make your fiancĂ©e’s brother the best man. This will definitely help you score points with her family, though it may not bode well with your friends. In this case, though, it’s up to you to make that choice.

Once you’ve chosen your Best Man–and your groomsmen–you’ll want to formally ask them to be a part of your big day. Doing this in person is best, and you may want to ask everyone over a meal or a beer at your favorite pub. After all, it should be a celebration!

Plan your announcement well in advance, so that you can give your Best Man and your groomsmen as much time as possible to plan for your wedding. They’ll want to put your wedding date on their calendars, plus you’ll want to give them as much time as possible to plan for your wedding financially.

Until the next time,Have a great weekend!
